Foresters Cottage
Our house is a Swedish Bungalow situated on the shores
of Loch Duich. From the garden there are splendid views
of The Mountains of Kintail, an excellent base for hillwalking
and climbing. Many tourist attractions are nearby, including
historic Eilean Donan Castle. Ferry or Bridge to the Isle
of Skye only 20 minutes away.
We have to guest bedrooms, one is a double with private
bathroom and the other is en suite and can either be a double
or twin room. The rooms are tastefully decorated and have
tea and coffee facilities, there are even fresh flowers
in the rooms. We also have a TV lounge where you can watch
satellite television or just watch the scenery changing
throughout the evening. Or sit our in the garden looking
over the loch.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and is a full Scottish
breakfast with cereal or porridge, fruit juice, cooked breakfast,
tea and toast and jams. This sets you up for the days activities.
Local attractions include Eilean Donan Castle in Dornie,
which is open daily throughout the season, get a guided
tour round the castle and see the reconstructed kitchens
of the 1930s. Visit the Pictish Brochs in Glenelg, also
there is Glenelg Candles and Tearoom, the Glenelg Ferry
over to Skye from which you can walk to the Kyle Rhea Otter
Haven and see otters and seals in the wild. There are many
things to see and do in this area so why not make the journey
and have a relaxing holiday in the Lochalsh area.
